The Morzine-Avoriaz ice-hockey club was founded in 1963 with what was at the time in the Alps an audacious gamble the building of a 26 x 54 m ice-rink.

Today there are three coaches at the ice-school which trains different teams :

- children from age 4-5,

- Minimes team for 14-15 year olds,

- Senior Elite team,

- D3 team,

- Leisure section for those just wanting to have fun

- Team for older players.

The club is still as dynamic as ever as far as events are concerned, and at the beginning of every season organises a unique international European tournament that brings together the best ice-hockey teams at the Morzine-Avoriaz rink.

There are regular matches held throughout the winter season, so if you get the chance, go and support the 'Penguins' its a great night out.
